When I think of chalkboard, I think of the blackboards from elementary school & high school. Chalkboard has been hot lately. There's an overload of ideas on Pinterest.
There's paint that will turn any surface into a chalkboard or blackboard. The first time I used chalkboard paint was back in 2002. I think I used Benjamin Moore. The paint was hard to find back then but now you can find them every where. I painted the side of the kitchen cupboards (almost 8 feet high) and used it as a message centre and activity centre for my niece.
There's also peel & stick vinyl that you can use instead of paint. A lot less messier! There are a lot of DIY projects out there and below are a few that I will try out.
