Urbanknits Canada combines knitting, weaving and beading to create one-of-a-kind fashion accessories. Inspired by our proximity to nature in the heart of the city, our work combines natural colours and textures with a vibrant urban feel. From an early age, we had a fascination with the great cities of the world and a love of fibres  - from crisp cottons, to warm wools and sumptuous silks. More recently we have been exploring how knitting and beading compliment each other to produce wonderful, wearable art pieces. Each piece is inspired by a city - all with a unique colour, pattern, and textures.
